Hello all!

Welcome to my Web site. Let me take the time to introduce myself. I am John Otto, a high school engineering student from up state New York. I am a Rower on the Saratoga Springs crew team, play in a local band and have enrolled for the fall semester at Old Domion University in Norfolk VA. with a major in Mechanical Engineering. The Purpose of this site is to provide information on my year-long research project for a class called Engineering Design and Development. I am reasearching solar power and its applications for home use. Obviously it will be used to generate electricity, but the standard photovoltaic cells are expencive and brittle. My solution stems from the research done by Solar Mission Technologies and their work on the Solar Convection Tower in the Australian outback.
